To those who received a lump-sum withdrawal payment, did you receive a tax refund?

Did you know that taxes were deducted when you received your Lump-Sum Withdrawal Payment? The amount shown in the “Income Tax and Special Income Tax for Reconstruction” column on the Notice of Grant Decision is the tax that was taken out of your Lump-Sum Withdrawal Payment. The number in the yellow section of the image on the Notice of Grant Decision is the tax amount.

From the lump-sum withdrawal payment of 880,618 yen, 179,822 yen is deducted as withholding income tax.

In fact, this 179,822 yen tax is almost fully refundable if you file a tax return.

Steps to receive a tax refund

  1. The customer fills out the application form, submits it, and then mails the original Notice of Determination of Payment to our company.

  2. After we receive the Notice of Determination, we act as the client's tax agent and file the client's tax return.

  3. The tax office deposits your tax refund to us.

  4. We remit the amount minus the fee to your account (remittance fees are the responsibility of the client)
